Puppy (or Cat) Crack

As satisfying as it is to eat your own homemade treats, sometimes our pets need some love too.
Introducing… Puppy Crack!
This is seriously the easiest dog treat recipe ever – and it’s also cat friendly!
3 ingredients.
1 bowl.
1 baking sheet.
And that’s it.
I used to train dogs and this is what we’d use as dog treats. I have no idea where the recipe even originated from, except for that I got it from the lady who owned the organization that helped train rescued dogs and help get them adopted. It was such an amazing experience, and I learned so much from it!
Because of that experience, I can share this great recipe with you čÖé
I know it’s a little weird to have an animal treat on my baking blog, but you can’t forget about your loving pets! (as it they would allow you to forget about them, my dog wouldn’t leave me alone while I was making this for him)

Here’s what it looks like:

Puppy Crack

And here’s what you’ll need to recreate it:

Ingredients:

1 egg
1 sleeve of soda crackers, or 1 sleeve of graham crackers
1 large can (or 2 small cans) of pink salmon (the cheapest you can find it completely okay to use)

Instructions

Pre-heat your over to 350 degrees.
Combine all your ingredients in a bowl and mix it all together.
Spread your mixture over a baking sheet until it covers the bottom – about 1/4 inch thick. For some reason our most recent batch didn’t quite cover the whole sheet,┬ábut that’s okay. The best part of this recipe is that nothing has to be completely precise.
Bake this for 20-30 minutes, until it has a spongy texture.
Let it cool, and cut up it up and store it in a┬ácontainer. Make sure to refrigerate it – and it should last up to a week.

In case anyone is wondering, my dog Dozer totally approves of this recipe.
